Sometimes, you might only need to grab your Mailchimp API key and not the entire signup code. In this case, when you are in the Mailchimp dashboard, go to the lower left corner and click on your profile box, and then choose “Profile”

Then, at the top under the Extras tab, select API keys. You may or may not have a key already generated. If you do, you can simply CMD + click or CTRL + click to copy and paste your key. If you do not have any API keys, you can click on the “Create a Key” button to create a new key. This simply allows your blog or website to connect to your email list.

And that’s it! Very simple and easy to grab either your signup code or API key, whichever your blog or site requires!
