While the bulk of my closet now consists of snow boots and ski stuff, I’ve always loved the look of a beautifully hung rack of clothes. It looks amazing in stores and I love to see shots of people re-creating this look at home. My closet is more utilitarian than glamorous, I think the key to displaying your closet outside the closet is consistency: choose similar weight fabrics and colors, it should really be your most beautiful items, and this makes sense, because isn’t it a shame to have a great dress or handbag and keep it hidden away in the dark? Anyway my coatrack is be one hot mess this year like it always is, but that doesn’t mean I can’t get inspired to decorate with what I have and enjoy my closet outside in the light!
