Joyeux Noel! I was at a Christmas party the other night, and I live in South Florida so there’s a ton of French people here in the winter. I was so excited to use my (admittedly highly limited nonexistent) French to wish this woman a Merry Christmas en français and she snappily corrected my pronunciation. At least I tried, right? Actually my real goal is to brush up on my Spanish because it is the spoken language down here most of the time, so maybe I’ll just stick with Feliz Navidad. But, however you say it and whatever you celebrate, happiest of holidays to all! I’m off to the Caribbean for the holiday (nowhere too glam, my friend who is a yacht chef texted from a spa in St. Barth’s, this is a cruise so trust me it’s not all that), will catch you guys on the flip side!
