Lighten up!  I always get in that cozy autumn mood come this time of year, but there’s something to be said for light, bright interiors all winter long!  When the leaves fall off the trees we get a lot more light, so maximize that with white duck slipcovers, a soft sisal rug, and I’m particularly loving these distressed wood-framed mirrors.  You could even consider switching to sheer drapes or removing your dark drapes altogether in winter if you have privacy.  Sunlight is good for the soul, so let the sun shine in!
