In honor of Father’s Day, I’m posting some manly interiors today.  As you know I’m crazy for chalkboard walls or anything dark and matte, and while I would ordinarily think to lighten things up with some bright white or pink, these amazing masculine spaces are so perfect because the darks blend beautifully, I’m loving the clean lines, velvet upholstery and deep colors.

Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there, the older I get, the more I realize that our childhoods are incredibly definitive.  I was lucky enough to have one of the best fathers in the world, since I was tiny he told me I could be whatever I wanted to be and to let nothing stop me.  He told me I could be President and go to Yale.  Neither of which happened, but it’s nice to know someone thinks so highly of you!  He also used to always say “Shari marches to the beat of her own drummer.”  He never discouraged my artistic weirdness, only encouraged me to be me, and he sweated it out at every swim meet, rushing off a plane in a full suit to get there on time.  I’m certainly a better person for it, and I’m passing on all the dad love to readers and their fathers, have a wonderful day!
