No, I don’t have a chip on my shoulder, I’m too old and tired to get whipped up about resentments these days, but I do like a chip in my decor!  Remember back to the early aughts when Shabby Chic was the phrase on everyone’s minds?  I know that cottage chic can get a little tired these days, but I have to be honest, when I see a chippy whitewash, my heart still skips a beat.  Shabby Chic was usually paired with crystal chandeliers and luxe flowers back in the day, but you can still repurpose and dial back your cottage pieces with things like edgy typography art or industrial chic accents for a more bold, modern vibe.
